Jessica,

Your mental well-being is important to us, and we are here to support you in every way that we can. That's why we are happy to announce that our Mental Wellness Series will continue this fall, offering educators guidance and support in areas of social-emotional development, trauma, crisis, self-care and stress management.

As part of our Mental Wellness Series, All Our Kin has also partnered with Early Childhood Mental Health Consultants & Experts, Alicia Conte and Rebecca Lerer, to launch weekly virtual office hours. This will be a dedicated space for educators to bring forth any questions or concerns and receive personalized, one-on-one support.

If you're interested in scheduling a 45-minute consultation, you can find detailed information, including available days and times for office hours in the attached flier here. For more information about our workshops and the latest updates, be sure to read this week's newsletter below.

Take Action

Urge Congress

Help Increase Funding for CAFCP!

Last week, exciting new legislation was introduced in the House of Representatives that would improve Child and Adult Care Food Program (CAFCP) for family child care educators. The Child Care Nutrition Enhancement Act would permanently:

  • Provide an additional $.10 reimbursement for each meal and snack served in the CACFP
  • Eliminate different reimbursement rates for family day care homes
  • Allow family child care providers to claim their own children’s meals for reimbursement

All Our Kin is joining our partners at the National CACFP Sponsors Association to urge Congress to support this important bill. You can help us take action by sending a message to your Representatives!
