AOK Updates: Child Care State Funding, Business Series & More

Dear Jessica,

Over the next week, leaders from the New York State Senate and Assembly will be meeting with Governor Hochul to negotiate the final state budget. The budget is due on April 1 and includes a proposed $3 billion child care investment — moving our state closer to the funding that families and educators need. We can’t stop now! Please join our friends at the Alliance for Quality Education and email State leaders to tell them the final budget must include not a penny less than $3 billion for universal child care.

All Our Kin + Guggenheim: Looking and Making Together

Are you interested in learning how to integrate art into your work with young children? Please join us for a creative workshop hosted by All Our Kin and Guggenheim called “Looking and Making Together.” Together we will learn about contemporary art from the Guggenheim’s collection, participate in an art-making activity, and exchange knowledge on using art in early childhood education.

Certificates will be issued for 1.5 hours of professional development. Register by Monday, April 11.
