AP Exam Update for BHS Families &
Students Signed Up for AP Exams
SPS Notice for Parents of Students taking AP Exams
We appreciate your flexibility and patience as we worked to navigate the logistics surrounding AP Exams at SPS. Due to the unique challenges of remote learning resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, the CollegeBoard announced that they will be offering AP Digital Exams in Administration Windows to provide equitable access to AP Exams for all students. Based on a thorough review of the testing options and the most current health and safety guidelines in King County, SPS has reached the decision to follow the CollegeBoard's Administration Window 3.

Students who are signed up and wish to take an AP Exam will take the test during the CollegeBoard’s Administration Window 3 (June 1-4, 7-11) This decision was made to provide all AP teachers and students the most amount of time possible to prepare for the full-length AP exams, knowing that remote learning has posed different challenges for all students. More importantly, to ensure the health and safety of all students and staff, all exams will be administered digitally at home.

In-Person ONLY AP Exams | For the AP Exams that only have the option for In-Person testing (World Languages & AP Music Theory), SPS will offer these exams to students at their high school. Visit the SPS AP Exam FAQ.

AP Exam Refunds | BHS families will receive a full refund if you decide not to take an AP Exam. Please note refunds may take up to 2 months for processing time. Contact Mike Broom at mrbroom@seattleschools.org if you want to cancel an AP Exam.
