APA California — Northern is now accepting applications for its 2025 Awards Program, which recognizes outstanding work in planning. The new deadline to apply is March 15, 2025.

2025 APA CA Conference call for sessions: Tips for creating successful proposals:

The Call for Sessions submission deadline for session abstracts on March 10, 2025, and no extensions will be granted. A webinar providing tips for submitting proposals, which focuses on amplifying new and underrepresented voices, is available by clicking on the image to the right.

International Planning Tour to Baja California Sur, Mexico

APA California — Northern's International Program is preparing for an international planning tour to Baja California Sur, Mexico. Our plans include visiting the municipalities of Loreto and La Paz during the week of April 12-19, 2025.

February 2025 legislative update

The February 21 deadline to introduce new bills is approaching, and APA California has already

identified several of interest to planners. Proposals are focusing on assisting LA County with recovery efforts and on statewide on land use and fire-related issues.
