Latinos and Planning: Emeryville Publick Walking Tour with Ana Padilla

Join us on a walking tour of Emeryville’s Art in Public Places led by Ana Padilla, a recent graduate of UC Berkeley's Master of City Planning program. Her research evaluated this program, focusing on the accessibility of the physical artworks and the accessibility of the program for artists. The program has generated over 200 individual art pieces to enhance robust development within Emeryville’s 1.25-square-mile city limits and has generated $250,000 in financing for local artists with Emeryville-specific ties in the last 10 years. Most importantly, the program has created public space for art appreciation and has been a method of creating an economy around art production.
