Happy and Hopeful

by Harper Rowland
LionheARTisans’ Cottage employee and APC Lionheart WORKS participant

I have been painting a lot at home during the pandemic and one of my paintings just happened to turn out to look like a cross. This image made me feel happy and hopeful.
During this difficult time, I enjoy listening to the old hymn: ‘How Great Thou Art’. The song reminds me of God’s greatness.
My favorite Bible passage is Psalm 23 it is one I learned in Bible School as a child. The Lord is my shepherd…. And I feel peace knowing this is true.

Strength from the Bible

by Hampton Sprinkle
Hampton works for APC as our Sanctuary Assistant and Dayschool Teacher Assistant. In order to keep in touch with the Dayschool children and teachers, he has been sending encouraging video messages and pictures that he has drawn of the Dayschool for the children to color in at home.
Hampton prays for the Dayschool children. He draws his strength from reading the Bible and his favorite stories are about Moses and Joseph the strong and courageous leaders who overcame hard times. Hampton looks forward to getting back to work at APC when it is safe for all to return.
Dear God, Thank you for blessing our lives and church family with Hampton, Harper and all participants in the Lionheart for Life Program.
Thank you for our own special needs ministry "Open Arms" and all of the individuals and families who help share with us in knowing
and celebrating your great and awesome love. Amen.
