American Pharmacies and the Texas Pharmacy Association Meet to Strengthen Collaboration

American Pharmacies and the Texas Pharmacy Association (TPA) recently came together for a productive and energizing meeting focused on strengthening relationships and exploring new opportunities for collaboration. Team members from both organizations met at TPA’s Austin office, where they shared lunch and discussed their professional backgrounds, organizational roles, and the paths that led them to serve Texas pharmacists.

The conversation highlighted shared perspectives on advocacy, member engagement, and the importance of supporting independent pharmacies across the state. Both organizations recognized a strong cultural alignment—one rooted in servant leadership, authenticity, and a commitment to advancing the profession.

“We left the meeting energized and aligned, with a clearer sense of how our organizations can work together to advance and protect pharmacy in Texas,” said Laird Leavoy, President of American Pharmacies. “This kind of collaboration is essential, and I’m grateful for the openness and shared purpose in the room.”

TPA Chief Executive Officer RoxAnn Dominguez, Pharm.D., echoed the spirit of partnership, adding:

“I’m deeply grateful to stand beside leaders who show up with both courage and heart. Together, we can create meaningful, positive change for pharmacists and the patients who depend on them across Texas.”

The meeting set a strong foundation for ongoing collaboration and meaningful progress on behalf of Texas pharmacists.
