Kendra Scott Jewelry Joins
Our Exhibitor Lineup

We don't usually book exhibitors that sell personal items, but teaming up with Kendra Scott was a win-win proposition for American Pharmacies and our conference attendees.

She's one of the most popular jewelry designers and sellers around, and 20% of all sales will be donated in the name of American Pharmacies to support breast cancer research. That sounds like a great opportunity to freshen up your jewelry box and support a worthy cause at the same time!emaining!"
Embrace the Change!
Keynote Libby Gill Will Help You Turn Your Fear Into Fuel

In the rapidly evolving business of independent retail pharmacy, H.G. Wells' old adage of "Adapt or Perish" has never been more applicable. Independent owners are confronted with immense challenges and evolving markets that necessitate change. But many are averse to change or don't know where to start the process.

Award-winning author and speaker Libby Gill is a change agent. She will help you turn fear into fuel, chaos into order and uncertainty into a plan of action. Don't miss her keynote session on Friday, June 24, "LEADING THROUGH CHANGE, CHALLENGE, & CHAOS: TURNING FEAR INTO FUEL."

Change is constant, complex, and accelerating. It often seems that as soon as you've adapted to one change, another one smacks you in the face. In her compelling speech, Libby will help you:

  • Reframe change – no matter how anxiety-provoking – as an opportunity for growth
  • Blast through your fear and resistance to regain your competitive edge
  • Energize to start taking risks right away

See Libby in action and you we guarantee that you'll come to APEX to hear her.
Cowboy(girl) Up
at Our Rx Roundup
Reception & Dinner

Saturday nights at APEX are always fun. After two or three days of CE, panel discussions and business conversations, most attendees are ready to kick back and have a good time to close out the conference.

What better way to cap off an event held at the Texas-themed Gaylord Resort than our Rx Roundup on Saturday, June 25 at the waterfront Glass Cactus Nightclub?

We're inviting all you Drugstore Cowboys and Cowgirls to pull on those boots, fasten those pearl snaps and cock that Stetson just right for an evening of adult beverages, fine dining and plenty of country-western dancing.

We'll have two-steps, waltzes and line dances to tunes by favorite country artists. We'll also spin up other types of music to give everyone a chance to bust their moves on the dance floor.

We strongly encourage everyone to get into the spirit of things. Cowboy is always cool, and even if you can't western dance, you can still rock that western look. Just leave the horse at home.

We understand that not everyone -- even in Texas -- has the cowboy vibe down pat, so we've got some advice for those of you who need a little help:

The Gaylord Texan is a luxury resort perched on the scenic shores of Lake Grapevine, midway between Dallas and Fort Worth. With 1,814 rooms, 7 restaurants, the 10-acre Paradise Springs Water Park and a majestic 2.5-acre, steel-framed atrium, the Gaylord is a spectacular experience for the entire family.

The conference rate is $249 for Double or King room, good June 20-26 per availability.

Air & Ground Transportation
Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) is six miles and 10 minutes south of the Gaylord Texan Resort. Many major airlines serve both DFW and Love Field in Dallas, 21 miles to the east.

The hotel does not provide transportation to either airport. Cab fares average $18 + tip; Uber/Lyft fares from DFW to the hotel are $16-$36 depending on vehicle; surge pricing can boost these rates.
Super Shuttle provides shared rides to/from DFW for $12 and to/ from Love Field for $21. Simply use the phones in Baggage Claim to call for pickup. Shuttles depart from the front of the resort to DFW
every 20 minutes from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on the hour to Love Field.

If you plan to visit other area attractions –– such as Six Flags Over Texas (17 miles), Choctow Stadium (Texas Rangers, 18 miles) or the Fort Worth art museums (30+ miles) –– you’ll need a rental car. Hertz
rentals are available at the hotel; other rental agencies are close by.

WEATHER: Dallas in June generally is sunny to partly cloudy with highs in the high 80s to mid 90s. Thunderstorms are possible. Use sunscreen and wear a hat if you spend any significant time outside
Our 2022 Tournament kicks off early on June 23 with a foursome scramble at the Cowboys Golf Club in Grapevine. Tee-offs start at 8 a.m. and there will be $600 in prizes.

You can sign up to play when you register for APEX. The fee is $120, half the public rate. We will do our best to group you with players of your choice. If you don’t have a foursome, don’t worry, we’ll group you.

Cowboys is the only NFL-themed course in the world. Thick stands of trees frame rolling fairways and immaculate greens amid dramatic elevation changes and waterways. Four sets of tees allow all players to enjoy this gem, ranked one of the Top 10 Courses in Texas by Golfweek and and best overall in DFW by Avid Golfer.

Greens fees cover breakfast and lunch, non-alcoholic drinks, cart, range balls and snacks at the halfway house (think fried oysters and short-rib tacos). Tasty food and Texas-friendly service add to a memorable experience.
