APF Fellows Program - Fall 2018 Application

The APF Fellows Program is for U.S. based students and professionals who are committed to creating positive socioeconomic change in Pakistan.

This Fall, APF Fellows will be serving at Knowledge Platform (KP), which  is based in Islamabad and provides digital based education and teacher training in Pakistan.  KP also provides digital education services in China, India, Indonesia, the Philippines, Myanmar, and Indonesia. Knowledge Platform has pioneered and perfected a blended learning model that breaks down the walls between in-class, in-center and at-home learning.  KP has developed over 1,800 online courses in 30+ languages. Knowledge Platform is currently working with more than 400,000 students across Asia, out of which 45,000 students are in Pakistan.

During the summers of 2017 and 2018, APF Fellows served at the Rural Support Program Network (RSPN), the largest development network in Pakistan, which is comprised of eleven Rural Support Programmes (RSPs). These programmes espouse a common approach to rural development: social mobilization centered on the belief that impoverished people have the innate potential to help themselves by better managing their limited resources if they organize and are provided with social, technical, and financial support.   APF Fellows were placed at the National Rural Support Program (NRSP) which works with over two million rural households, 150,000 community organizations, and 500 local support organizations across Pakistan.
