of Steve Jobs

The second lecture of Opera Preview lectures will feature 'The (R)evolution of Steve Jobs' by Mason Bates, with lyrics by Mark Campbell. This 90-minute, one-act opera reflects on the revolution that Jobs brought to how we communicate and explores how Jobs might have perceived his life, especially when contemplating his early death. An original cast recording won the 2019 Grammy for Best Opera Recording. Our speaker will be Cole Thomason-Redus, who currently serves as the Educational Content Curato.

Exploring Art: Kehinde Wiley

Mural Tour

(Limited to 20 People)
Join us for a walking tour led by Marcia Klein, a longtime member of JSV and currently a classroom docent for the San Jose Museum of Art . The tour will explore the unique murals of Downtown San Jose.
The tour is a 2-mile journey round trip on flat sidewalks with a break at Academic Coffee scheduled mid-way.
