EPIC Freeform Meeting in Rochester, NY March 19-20, 2020 Freeform optics enables novel optical system development making them smaller and more compact, while their performance is maintained or even enhanced. The EPIC Meeting on Freeform Optics will bring together the complete value chain of the manufacturing and measurement of freeform optics to discuss the challenges alongside with the advantages that freeform optics offers for different industries. The meeting will give the user perspective as well as current state-of-the-art technology and future market trends with the focus on key application fields: consumer electronics, space/aerospace, illumination, healthcare. Update on the 2019 Clambake at OPTIFAB Thank you to APOMA and to all optics professionals for making this the largest clambake to date! This year tickets sold out in record time with close to fifty people on the wait list the day of the event. The Hyatt did an amazing job this year, preparing 19,980 clams and a great dinner for all of us to enjoy. The most important fact, and why we were all there, was for the high schools with optics programs. This year we raised $34,350 for the nine schools with optics programs. That money will be distributed between them and be used for equipment, books, and learning aids. Thank you again for your support of this event, and we hope you’re looking forward to another great clambake in 2021!

SAVE THE DATE! November 12-13, 2020 Save the date for APOMA's Colorado Tech Workshop in Boulder, CO. Sessions will focus on problem-solving techniques and training for all areas of optical fabrication. Participants may also be invited to visit manufacturing facilities in the local area.
