Lynker has instituted an ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan). This is exciting news for our employees and clients as this change benefits the growth and stability of Lynker long term. Report analyzes Columbia County’s industrial land supply, outlines challenges
March 16, 2022 — A recent report by Mackenzie evaluated the available industrial land supply in Columbia County. The Port of Columbia County initiated the project in response to the real market need to have, understand, and maintain an adequate supply of developable industrial land to accommodate the expansion and recruitment of employers within the county.
“While the port has an extensive knowledge of our industrial properties, we found when talking with our economic development partners, that there wasn’t an easily accessible record of available industrial property for the rest of the county,” said executive director Sean Clark.

Port of San Diego continues clean air efforts, adds 14 electric vehicles to fleet
March 9, 2022 — As part of the Port of San Diego’s ongoing commitment to the environmental care of San Diego Bay and the surrounding waterfront and communities, the Board of Port Commissioners has approved the purchase of 14 electric vehicles (EVs) from National Auto Fleet Group (National Auto).
The approximately $820,000 purchase supports the Port’s Maritime Clean Air Strategy (MCAS) and its vision of “Health Equity for All.” The purchase is being funded through the Port’s Economic Recovery Program established to designate and track federal stimulus funds the Port has received via the American Rescue Plan Act and the State of California’s Coronavirus Fiscal Recovery Fund.

Port of Newport receives state funding for seawall repair
March 7, 2022 — A $1.14 million appropriation from the State of Oregon will allow the Port of Newport to make major repairs this year to the 540-foot seawall that supports Rogue World Headquarters in Newport.
Built in 1979, the seawall was under study by an engineering firm in 2021 after showing signs of considerable wear and corrosion. PBS Engineering reported that the seawall “is considered to have exceeded its useful design life” and predicted the eventual failing of the corroded steel piles if measures weren’t taken to repair or replace the structure.
