Next Pacific Ports Magazine goes 100% digital

Update regarding the print edition of the October/November issue of Pacific Ports Magazine: We’ve made the decision to publish this issue in digital format only.

We’ve been having an issue here in Canada with our postal service. In late September, the Canadian Union of Postal Workers went on strike without notice (albeit they had the legal right to do so); on October 9 they shifted to rotating strikes, again without notice. The two sides do not have any plans to return to the bargaining table at this time, leaving service very unpredictable with Canada Post. With no guarantee that the union won’t decide to switch tactics again, it’s uncertain if we went to print that the magazine would be delivered within an adequate timeframe.

Our plan is to release the issue on October 24 in a direct email to our distribution list via Constant Contact, followed by posting online and promoting through our social media accounts (Facebook, LinkedIn and X).
