The Coding Corner

Get credit for the work you are doing.

Do you perform a procedure during your clinic visit (ie. biopsy, casting, etc)?
Don't forget to charge a procedure code.
Why this is important? In the past UCSF Health has used coders on the back end to add these appropriate billing codes. Since 2021, we have transitioned to self-coding and no long can depend on professional coders. So get credit credit for procedures, its your responsibility to add a PR charge with "add order", or use charge capture section, or use PROC1 button.
