President's Message
Dear APPNA Members,
We just completed a very successful APPNA Strategy Meeting 2020, in Philadelphia, January 31-February 2. We had ambitious goals for this meeting to refocus APPNA on detailed planning for its educational, healthcare, philanthropic, advocacy initiatives for 2020 and have dialog with membership on legislative reforms. I am happy to report that we made great progress, with APPNA committees laying out their plans for APPNA 2020 initiatives.

APPNA Strategy Meeting 2020

APPNA-PUN, the local APPNA chapter in Delaware Valley, had the distinct pleasure of hosting the Strategy Meeting 2020 in the historic city of Philadelphia on 1/31-2/2/2020 weekend. Programs included:
- Planning of 2020 initiatives by APPNA Committees, presentation, Q&A
- CABL Task Force - An Interactive Brainstorming session with membership
- APPNA Presidents Town Hall with Membership
- Young Physicians Seminar, with ECFMG President and executives
- CME, both days
- "Crucial Conversations" seminar
- Alumni Retreats by: KEMCAANA. FJMCAANA, KMCAANA, RMCAANA, AIMCAANA, NANA, Dental Meet & Greet

Puerto Rico Earthquake Relief Mission
 |
APPNA/ICNA Relief medical mission to help Puerto Rico earthquake survivors.
APPNA/ICNA Relief medical mission team arrived in San Juan PR on Thursday 1/30/20 with physicians joined from Florida, TX and, NY along with 3 other volunteers. Team was equipped with 6 bags full of medicines, BP machines, Glucometers, hygiene kits, diapers and other supplies.

Guatemala Medical Mission
|
APPNA Medical Corps completed it's 7th medical mission to Coban, Guatemala from January 18-25th, 2020. The team comprised of Dr. Afzal Arain from California, Dr. Saeed Irfan and his son, Shah Zaman Saeed, a Premed student from Virginia and Dr. Mobina Arif from Canada.

Ohio Chapter Welfare Projects
In 2019, we were able to raise >$100,000 for our humanitarian projects. This was our third year in row with collections above $100,000 which are increasing every year. Thank you for your ongoing support.
