APPNA/ICNA Relief Efforts

APPNA/ICNA Relief organized a winter drive and mobile clinic free community health fair at Northgate Village apartments in Dallas, TX.
Dr Abdul Rashid Piracha (Past president APPNA), Dr Haroon Durrani (president elect APPNA) and myself participated during the distribution of winter supplies including blankets, hoodies, caps, socks, gloves, hygiene kits and hot meals to mostly Afghani and other well deserved refugees families.
Over 150 refugee families received above mentioned winter supplies, hot meals, and free health screenings including blood pressure, blood sugar and BMI testing.
Physician consultation was provided by Dr Mohammed Abrar and Pharmacist Sister Naveen, they also provided free Covid-19 vaccines including Booster shots, Covid-19 education and awareness to the participants.

APPNA/ICNA Relief mobile clinic free community health fair was held in collaboration with APPNA DMV chapter & Adams center Virginia.
75 People received free health screenings including blood pressure, blood sugar, HbA1c, lipid panel, ENT screening, Dental screening, cardiac screening, breast cancer & skin health Awareness, flu shot, COVID 19 vaccines and testing.
On-site physician consultation was provided by Dr. M Javed Akhtar (past President APPNA) Dr. Habib Chotani, Dr. Samia Piracha, Dr. Samia Wasim, Dr. Nadra Khan (president APPNA DMV chapter & Dr. Saba Nawab.
Several uninsured participants were referred to free Medical Clinics in Virginia for abnormal test results for further follow up and treatment.
25 Volunteers participated in this event including Nurses.
Masjid ADAMS Board member Faisal Islam and all participants were very thankful to ICNA Relief and APPNA DMV chapter for providing these valuable services for their community.
