WE HAVE LOCAL TALENT LOOKING FOR EMPLOYMENT

This month's WOW Factor features local talent in search of employment opportunities in the following positions:

  • Industrial Engineer / Engineering Technician
  • Inventory Control Specialist
  • Press Operator
  • Telecommunications Engineering Specialist / Consultant

The majority of our clients qualify for our On-the-Job Training (OJT) program, which offers new hires an opportunity to earn as they learn while employers benefit from a partial wage reimbursement during the training period.

Advantages to the employer include:
  • The employer sets the qualifications, interviews and selects the candidate(s);
  • With our assistance, the employer develops a training plan to address the gap between the new hire's existing skills and the job skill requirements; and
  • On average, an employer reimbursement is $3,500.

Our turnaround time is fairly quick. Don't delay and contact your Business Solutions Team before you extend a job offer to your next hire.

"We just wanted to take a moment to express to you how grateful we are to having a relationship with Forward Careers' On-the-Job Training program. It is because of this program, and its funding, that we are able to hire new employees that do not have the necessary skills needed to be an immediate asset to our company. This is great program and we would strongly recommend it to any company that may be able to utilize it."

BUILDING A DIVERSE WORKFORCE IN RURAL AMERICA

Creating a culture of diversity and inclusion is challenging enough for companies in urban areas with a substantial minority population. For many businesses in rural America and small towns, it can seem nearly impossible because the residents are mostly white.

Join Wisconsin Workforce Development Association's Talent Development Council to learn how a small town in Missouri made hundreds of new and diverse hires per year in the absence of a diverse hiring pool.

Speakers include Izze Martinez with the Branson/Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce and Convention & Visitors Bureau and Heather Hardinger, the former Director of Workforce Strategies and Programs for the Taney County Partnership.
