THIS IS OUR "FESTIVAL VILLAGE" APRIL 28 - MAY 5, 2023

DIFF 2023 is happening at Violet Crown Cinema in West Village at 3699 McKinney Avenue. Located in the center of the dynamic Dallas neighborhood known as Uptown, West Village is a walkable shopping, dining, residential and entertainment district with direct access to the DART Rail, the Historic McKinney Avenue Trolley and the Katy Trail.

Presented by the Meadows Museum in collaboration with DIFF, the "Film and Franco" series includes a brief talk to introduce each film and relate it to themes in the museum’s current exhibition, In the Shadow of Dictatorship: Creating the Museum of Spanish Abstract Art. Produced as Franco’s long regime was nearing its end, this film is a bewitching portrait of a child’s haunted inner life and one of the most visually arresting movies ever made.
