The Fijian Health Fair & Family Fun Day is an annual event hosted in collaboration with the Regional Pacific Islander Task Force (RPITF). The HDFCCC Office of Community Engagement worked in partnership with Umoja Health to administer pre & post colorectal cancer knowledge and intent surveys, assess eligibility for FIT tests, and promote general cancer awareness. | |
|
In addition to this, we collaborated with RPITF to identify Pacific Islander community members to feature on cancer education materials and learned about Fijian and Pacific Islander cultures and barriers to help bring possible solutions for health education and access to resources and services.
