SECOND SUNDAY OF EASTER FAMILY WORSHIP
WITH HOLY COMMUNION APRIL 24 10:00 A.M.
EARTH SUNDAY

Dear friends,
Please come to family worship at Saint Andrew's as we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ the Second Sunday of Easter. We would love for you to join us!

Saint Andrew's offers worship services in-person and online, trusting in the Holy Spirit that unites us whether we are in the same place. Sunday morning worship at 10:00 a.m. this week is livestreamed via the links below; the YouTube link also connects to the recorded service for those unable to attend in live time.

Links to online worship and worship materials are available in our weekly worship and newsletter emails, on our website http://www.standrewsofsmithtown.org and on our Facebook page, St. Andrew's Lutheran Church of Smithtown.

Communion at Saint Andrew's

We celebrate the Lord's Supper from the altar.

The Pastor places an individual wafer into each communicant's hand and the worship assistant offers a pre-filled single-use communion cup of wine.

Communion is continuous; please follow the ushers' guidance on when to come forward.

After receiving communion please drop the disposable, recyclable communion cup into the bowl offered by the usher.

Please remember:
  • you may take either the bread, or the wine, or both elements
  • if you prefer to use a pre-packaged communion set, please let the ushers know when you come into worship
  • those not communing are invited to receive a blessing

Christ Shows Himself to Thomas (1972)
Rowan and Irene LeCompte, National Cathedral, Washington, D.C.

Think of something you are afraid of right now. Find a door that has a lock on it. Begin a prayer by holding onto the doorknob.

Pray; “Lord right now I am afraid of….” (As you lift up your fear to God, lock the door.)

Pray; “Jesus give me your peace.” (as you ask for peace, unlock the door.)

Pray; “Spirit send me.” (as you finish the prayer, open the door and walk
through.)
