APRIL 2022 NEWSLETTER

FAMILY SHOW RECAP! We had a roaring good time at our aerial show last month! The animal themed performers entertained 60 audience members over two afternoon shows, and countless more in our virtual option the following week! The hard work and dedication of all the dancers showed as they dazzled viewers on silks, lyra and pole! Our fundraiser this year was HOWS Project. A portion of our ticket sales from the live show went toward this great local organization, and many generous virtual viewers donated directly to HOWS through the link on our page. 10 YR ANNIVERSARY STRENGTH CHALLENGE WINNERS! Students worked hard last month as the staff challenged upper and lower body, as well as core with weekly strength workouts. Students who completed the challenge received a coin to put in the pot of gold. Each week, two winners were announced, each going home with a prize! Thank you for celebrating the studio's birth month, all while getting stronger!! APRIL CLASSES Spring is here! The birds are out flying, and we hope you will come fly too! Choreography classes are in the final weeks as students work toward video shoots. Our weekly classes continue in Silks, Lyra and Pole, with the purchase option of a four pack or single class rate. A friendly reminder that all classes require pre-registration, and are available for online sign up a litte over a month in advance at all times. Be sure to select your desired dates to hold your spot! 24 hour notice is required for early cancellation. See this month's schedule: APRIL CALENDAR

REMINDER: NO CLASSES ON THESE DATES ! The studio will be closed Sunday, April 17th for Easter. On Thursday, April 21, we will only hold the Kids Aerial II class at 4:20. The rest of the evening is blocked off for our spring video shoots. Saturday, April 23 will not hold classes either as it is also reserved for spring video shoots. The beginning of the month is spring break for many. Please double check the schedule or with your teacher to be sure your regular class is running.

MASK POLICY CHANGE REMINDER! Masks are now optional. Please feel free to reach out to staff if you have any questions or concerns regarding these changes.

VIDEO SHOOTS ARE HERE! It's time for our spring video shoots! Here's what you need to know if you are in a Choreography class: *The video shoots are set for Thursday, April 21, starting at 6pm and Saturday, April 23, starting at 1pm. Students do not sign up for a specific time, but rather, just the day. If you have a conflict (such as, you can not arrive on Thursday until after 7 etc) please be sure to let staff know and we will do our best to accommodate. *The video shoots are optional, and are an add on. Cost is $20 per routine. We hope you will give the shoot a try! It's a great way to record your progress in your dance journey! *Students must sign up in advance, and Thursday spots are limited! *A day before the shoot, we will post the general line up on facebook (example: Sling 2/3 then Lyra 2/3 then Pole II etc). *Performers get the option of running the routine two times, then they pick their favorite. For an extra $10 fee, students can get both takes if they like. *Please bring in costume ideas to class if you have not already so you can be sure everything works. Makeup is recommended, as the lights tend to wash out a performer's face on camera. *Outside audience members are not permitted, however current and past students are welcome to come and cheer! *We will have the option of photos at the shoots. There is an additional $10 paid to the photographer, and students can tell staff on the day if they are interested. *Videos will be available via drop box once completed. PRICING CHANGE REMINDER!

Just a friendly reminder that our pricing has changed (effective February 1, 2022). Check out the details below: *Single class option for all technique classes: $22 *Four class package for technique classes: $80 ($20 a class. Pack expires 5 weeks after you sign up for the first class) *Our Private and Semi-Private pricing will not change ( $55 for 50 min private, $30 per person for a 2 or 3 person semi-private) We want to thank everyone for your continued support over the years, as we strive to provide safe, quality aerial and dance instruction in a fun and supportive enviroment here at The Phoenix!

COVID PRECAUTION REMINDERS! As listed above, we have changed our mask policy to optional. Students and staff are encouraged to wear masks if desired. Hand washing will continue before and after class, and classes are still maxed at less than 100% capacity. We know it's tough to remember when you are running late, so please try to be mindful and not skip handwashing!! Some classes have gone back to sharing apparatus. Please remember to stay socially distant, even when you have a buddy. We have hand sanitizer available throughout the studio, so feel free to make use of that (or good old hand washing) during class breaks, and when class is finished. Remember, if you are experiencing what might be covid symptoms, or have been exposed to someone with COVID, PLEASE STAY HOME! We will continue to keep an eye on CDC and local government updates and will inform students when it is appropriate to change our current policies.
