Grab a paddle and play for a purpose! Join us for the first-ever Champion for a Child Pickleball Tournament, a fun and competitive event supporting children in our community.

The tournament is open to players of all skill levels and will feature two divisions so everyone can get into the action. Serve up some fun and help be a champion for a child! Teams are guaranteed at least two games. Proceeds benefit the WAWM Recreation & Community Services Department’s Champion for a Child Scholarship Fund, which helps children participate in youth sports and before and after school

Come dressed to impress on FRIDAY, MAY 8 as the WAWM RCS Department hosts our Senior Prom from 12-3pm. The afternoon starts with a catered meal, followed by music, dancing and desserts. Registration is required per person, not per couple.

Dance Duo at the Activity & Fitness Center

Do some stretching, learn a feel-good dance routine and cool down with calming music as you bond with your toddler, infant or baby in your belly. This class is for expectant mothers or children 0-4yrs with parent/guardian. Class is on Thursdays April 9 & April 23 or May 7 & May 21 from 5-6pm. 

Family Cardio Drumming at the Activity & Fitness Center

This class is designed to be inclusive and enjoyable, encouraging families to move together while developing rhythm and fitness skills for children 4+yrs and their families. Class is on Saturdays, May 2-30 from 10-10:45am.

Gym Jam at the Recreation Center

From 5-6pm, let’s let the little ones play with child-size balls, hoops, baskets, drive the cozy coupes and much more. They get to rule the gym! Class is Mondays, April 13, 20 and 27. This is for children 2-4yrs with adult. FEE: $5 RES/$8 NR

Open Gym

Our Open Gyms are designed to help you stay active, have fun and make the most of your fitness goals this year! Whether you’re shooting hoops, spiking volleyballs or working on your dink shot, there’s more time than ever to enjoy the gym. Starting this month, the AFC is offering additional Open Gym opportunities.
