Other top news regards the COVID-19 pandemic affecting the area, and how we are responding to the crisis: We are continuing with a policy of newborn, well-child visits, and healthy kids and teens appointments in the morning, reserving the afternoon for all kids with respiratory symptoms. Also, we are continuing a policy of just one parent per child per visit, except for newborn visits. I sincerely appreciate your support and understanding of these policies.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, we also are doing
telemedicine
by video chat as a way of continuing your care and answering all your concerns while reducing the risk of infection. If it is necessary, as determined by one of us, you may be asked to have a face-to-face visit at the office.
The best telemedicine system we have found is
doxy.me
.
We can use other platforms, such as WhatsApp, but
doxy.me
is HIPPA-compliant and safer for your health information.
Please, stay at home, take care and follow all CDC and local health department recommendations.
We are working here for you.

How the Coronavirus has impacted our lives?
- We are experiencing countless changes to our daily life: schools being closed, events or flights being canceled or postponed, people in the supermarkets trying to buy everything they need, businesses at risk of closing, and the recommended social distancing to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
We all
react differently to stressful situations; for example:
- Fear and worry about your own health and the health of your loved ones, changes in sleep or eating patterns, depression, anxiety, or increased use of alcohol, tobacco, or other. It is very important to take care of yourself because that will allow you to take care of your family and others.
Here there are some suggestions to support yourself:
- It is important to be informed about the risks and how to protect yourself, but it is also important to take breaks from watching, reading, or listening to news stories, including social media.
- Eat healthy, exercise regularly, and rest
- Connect with others.
Be aware of the possible changes in your children:
- Excessive crying or irritation in younger children, excessive worries, toileting accidents, changes in sleeping habits, hyperactivity and/or avoiding school.
- Try to keep up with their daily routines.
- Be a role model. Take breaks, get plenty of sleep, exercise, and eat well. Connect with your friends and family members.

telemedicina
que hemos encontrado es
doxy.me.
Podemos usar otras plataformas como
WhatsApp

- Alimentate sano y haz ejercicio.
