Primrose School at the Galleria
Family of the Month
The Letsos Family
Congratulations to the Letsos Family! These native Houstonians have been with us since November of 2016. We are so blessed to have you here, and on behalf of Primrose Galleria, we THANK YOU for entrusting us to nurture and grow McKenna (3), Remy (1), and Audrey (4 ½) a Primrose alum, who now attends St. Michael Catholic School! We asked, Why did your family choose Primrose at the Galleria?

Not only is Primrose at the Galleria close to our home but the teachers and staff have always cared so wonderfully for all of our girls! They feel safe and loved at school and for that we are very thankful!."

Amy Naranjo
Congratulations to Mrs. Naranjo for being selected as our APRIL AOE!

Mrs. Naranjo's childcare teaching experience spans five years, and she is currently studying Social Work. In her spare time she enjoys spending time outdoors with animals. We are grateful for her continued commitment to nurturing and growing our Early Preschool children. When asked why she chose to work at Primrose, and what she loves most about it, she replied...

I chose Primrose to provide my children with the best early education they could have. I stayed because Primrose gave our children that and I want to be a part of the Primrose mission! The Naranjo family loves Primrose!

Please also join us in wishing her a Happy Birthday this month!

SPRING FLING
It’s that time again! During the ENTIRE month of April, we will be holding a silent auction for our annual Spring Fling event. All proceeds benefit the "Save the Children" Foundation who is committed to improving the lives of children through various education opportunities, healthcare, and economic opportunities. The STC Foundation provides emergency aid in natural disasters, war, and other conflicts, and is now a global movement rooted in 120 different countries.

BALANCED LEARNING
Unit 8 - Our World
Meet Megy The Pig
What will we learn in this unit?
Infants and Toddlers
Young children naturally explore their beautiful world using all of their senses. In this unit, the Early Preschool children explore the natural and humanmade elements of their immediate world, including their home, school, and community. They explore the great outdoors in the Reading Center, hide and find leaves and small manipulatives in the Science and Sensory Center, and write stories about tree animals from Experience cards in the Writing Center.
Preschool Students
In this unit, the children explore various living environments such as home life, neighborhoods, the city, and farm life. They explore pictorial representations looking for specific colors, describing and matching objects, and singing songs to help them remember all they are learning. Toddlers also reinforce their learning by becoming totally engaged in painting during Early Art Masters, in a creative-movement dance during Harmony & Heart, and in plant-texture exploration during Wonder Time.
Venture Students
The Balanced Learning Way Kindergarten Program Our World: Reducing our Environmental Impact Reduce, Reuse, Recycle! When we consciously think about and practice these three R’s in our daily life, we are conserving our natural resources. We know that we, as people, need a healthy environment for our own health and happiness. Through the stories and learning experiences in this unit, the children learn that effective care and management of our natural resources is also important for the plants and animals that live in our world.
