The Refill Report
Report location: Transactional Reports > Dispensing
The RxCompass Refill Report outlines refills coming due and may be received by email at intervals assigned by the user. Users can customize the report to focus on maintenance and/or PDC drugs, brand/generic options, or specific insurance types. This report is valuable for determining the necessary staffing and inventory to handle expected refills.
Recommended Use
- This proactive report is ideal for RxCompass users who successfully complete all Refills on Time opportunities each week (i.e., reactive opportunities).
- Once a reactive "safety net" is established and pharmacies are addressing past due refills, gradually transition to a predominantly proactive adherence management approach.
- Note: A reactive Refills on Time or similar "safety net" is necessary, as there will always be some refills that are past due.
Typical Use
- Start/End Fill Date timeframe = upcoming 7-day period.
- Once the report loads, Rxs will be auto-sorted alphabetically by patient.
- Contact the patient to confirm refills a few days in advance to optimize your workload.
- Working consistently in this fashion will result in limited gaps in medication therapy.
- Your phones will also ring less as your team proactively engages patients, rather than waiting for patients to call your pharmacy, potentially late.
