APEX 2025 Wrap-Up: Driving Pharmacy Forward with Insight, Innovation, and Inspiration Beyond the Fill

Congresswoman Diana Harshbarger Delivers Message of Hope at APEX 2025

We were honored to welcome U.S. Rep. Diana Harshbarger (TN-01) as the featured speaker at APEX 2025. As a licensed pharmacist and unwavering champion of independent pharmacy, she delivered a powerful and inspiring message of hope and determination in the fight for meaningful PBM reform.

Congresswoman Harshbarger was awarded the Champion of Pharmacy award in recognition of her steadfast commitment to securing fair pharmacy reimbursement and protecting patients’ access to affordable medications at the pharmacy of their choice.

During her address, Congresswoman Harshbarger emphasized the urgent need to dismantle the monopolistic practices of PBMs that hinder patient access and threaten the viability of independent pharmacies: “PBMs are the shadowy middlemen, and we need to cut them off!”

“You have to keep fighting,” she urged the audience. “You’re not just pharmacists—you’re truth tellers. Go in and share your stories. I’m your advocate. I’m here because I’m one of you. Don’t hesitate to reach out.”
