Tuesday, September 13, 2022 - Representatives from the Cleveland Browns visited East Community Learning Center to commend the school for its strong and improved attendance, aligned with the goals of the Stay in the Game! Keep Learning, Every Day! Network. 

During this summer’s “Browns Summer Blitz,” an annual event where Browns staff and corporate and community partners join to volunteer and give back to various organizations, the groups completed various projects to assist the school and promote strong attendance and student engagement. Those initiatives included creating a new Stay in the Game room for students who are showing positive improvement and attitude, creating a new space for students who are facing challenges so they can remain focused on their education rather than face potential suspension, renovating indoor and outdoor courtyards, bike and teacher-student kit assembly, and more.
