Presented by BEST: Businesses Ending Slavery and Trafficking

This workshop will empower you to make a difference in the lives of those who are exploited by equipping you with best practices to identify and report suspected trafficking incidents, prevent trafficking, and increase hotel safety. You will learn how to protect your hotel from legal risks, security risks, and reputational risks. You will also learn how to use BEST’s online training program to train all staff at your properties and discover ways to build upon your existing human trafficking training tools.

All attendees will receive a certification of completion by BEST at the end of the workshop.

CLIA Dollars for Scholars Auction Generates $32,000

Greetings,

Thank you to all our sponsors, donors and bidders for their generous support of our second CLIA Dollars for Scholars online auction scholarship fundraiser. We are pleased to say that this campaign has resulted in donations totalling over $32,000 so far . The scholarships funded by this event will be awarded to deserving hospitality students at our annual trade show, the California Lodging Expo & Conference to be held December 3 ^rd at the Crown Plaza Los Angeles - Commerce Casino in Commerce, CA. We hope that everyone will be able to attend this event so that we can acknowledge the contribution of our supporters and celebrate the scholarship awards.

The marketing campaign for CLIA Dollars for Scholars benefited our generous donors and sponsors by presenting their hotels and businesses to a wide audience of prospective customers. We expect that they will benefit from this exposure for their generosity in contributing to our CLIA Dollars for Scholars fundraiser.
