Safe Routes to School Design Contest


The Atlanta Department of Transportation is inviting APS student artists and graphic designers to submit artwork for the department's Safe Route to School Logo Design Contest. Students are encouraged to join the contest and enter their submissions before the deadline of Friday, October 4. For more details and submission instructions, click HERE.

APS Excellence


Join us in celebrating APS on receiving ASBO International's Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting (COE) for our Fiscal Year 2023 Annual Comprehensive Financial Report. APS' participation in the COE program is a testament to the district's commitment to transparency and high-quality financial reporting.

2025 Commencement Week Schedule


Save the Date! The 2025 APS Commencement Week schedule is now available. Commencement for Atlanta Classical Academy will be held at Second-Ponce de Leon Baptist Church, and Drew Charter School's ceremony will be held on campus on May 17, 2025. All other commencement exercises will be at the Georgia Institute of Technology McCamish Pavilion from May 20-23, 2025.

Hispanic College and Career Event


Hispanic Heritage Month is an opportunity to celebrate the rich cultural heritage and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities. As part of the celebration, we’re hosting a Hispanic College and Career Event at Agape on September 28 from 2 to 4 p.m. This event will provide valuable resources and information to students and families about college admissions, scholarships, and career opportunities specifically tailored to support our Hispanic community.

Attendance Awareness Month


Good school attendance means elementary students read well by the end of third grade, middle schoolers pass important courses, and high schoolers stay on track for graduation. Attend today, and achieve tomorrow!

Atlanta Pride Parade


APS, we invite you to join colleagues and students in celebrating and supporting Atlanta PRIDE! This year’s Atlanta Pride Parade is on Sunday, October 13. Equity is still at the forefront of APS, and the district is committed to being an inclusive school district that supports LGBTQIA+ students and staff.
