The Human Resources Division successfully launched a newly designed Business Fundamentals Certificate Program with an inaugural cohort on District Professional Day.


Meet Jalysa Stewart, a breast cancer survivor who teaches fourth and fifth grade at Kimberly Elementary School, and read her story.


The students at Fickett Elementary School showed their support by participating in a Breast Cancer Awareness Walk organized by the school's cheer squad.


Students at Douglass High School joined their peers across the nation in taking the pledge against gun violence on the Day of National Concern.

What's New

Election Day is Tuesday, No School


APS students and families, early voting for the 2024 General Election ends tomorrow, November 1. Election Day is next Tuesday, November 5, and there will be no school for students. Classes resume on Wednesday, November 6!

Amp Up APS! Student Survey


We are excited to announce the 2024 Amp Up APS! Equity Districtwide Survey. The survey is open to students in grades 4-12 from November 1 - 30 and provides the district with real-time feedback from APS students regarding their learning experiences. The survey is optional and parents may submit the opt-out form by November 1. Ask your school for the access code and take the survey!

Register Today for the 5th Annual Family Engagement Conference


The APS Office of Family Engagement invites you to the 5th annual Family Engagement Conference! Gain insight into how family engagement can boost student achievement. Join us on Saturday, November 16, at Tuskegee Airmen Global Academy from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and enjoy engaging workshops, vendors, student performances, student sessions, and networking opportunities. APS Fall Holiday Meal


The APS Nutrition Services Department looks forward to our annual Thanksgiving

celebration each year. This year, the Thanksgiving celebration planned is on the menu for Wednesday, November 13, at all elementary schools and Wednesday, November 20, at all middle and high schools. The Thanksgiving meal must be preordered at MySchoolBucks prior to the date of the event.
