Peace & Prevention Rally


Atlanta Public Schools has partnered with the Fulton County District Attorney's office to address gang prevention, human trafficking, and more at the Peace & Prevention Summit at Frederick Douglass High School on Saturday, August 17, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Register HERE.

Dyslexia Screenings


In accordance with Georgia Senate Bill 48, Atlanta Public Schools has a screening process to identify students in kindergarten through third grade for characteristics of dyslexia. Attendance Awareness Month Poster Contest


August is Attendance Awareness Month, and the Attendance Awareness Month Student Poster Contest is back! This year's theme is "Be Present, Be Powerful!" The contest is open to students at all grade levels from Pre-K through high school, and prizes will be awarded to the top three posters from each grade level. Submit your poster to your school social worker by Wednesday, August 21, 2024, for a chance to win! Good Luck!

APS 5K and Fun Run

The Atlanta Public Schools Nutrition Services Department is excited to announce MealViewer, a new platform that allows students and parents to view their school's breakfast and lunch menus, as well as nutrition facts and allergen information.
