Common Market Food Tasting at Burgess ES Recap

We’re excited to share that our Common Market pilot program has expanded to a third Atlanta Public School! This initiative, supported by the Rockefeller Foundation, aims to introduce more local, fresh produce into school meals.

At Burgess Peterson Academy and Garden Hills Elementary, students are already tasting and enjoying delicious recipes featuring local ingredients, such as a colorful collard salad from Love is Love Farm. We're thrilled to see the positive response from students, with many expressing their love for both the cooked and raw collard recipes.

We look forward to incorporating more local, farm-fresh options into our menus and continuing to nourish our students with healthy, delicious meals.
