Leg Con Cancellation Letter - 3/10/2020
Associations
Dear Legislative Conference Attendees:

After careful consideration and discussions with APTA’s Executive Committee leadership, we have made the decision to cancel the Legislative Conference in Washington, DC, scheduled to take place March 15-17.

The health, safety and well-being of our members and their families is of paramount importance. We believe it is in the best interest of everyone to cancel the conference and ensure that our members are able to do what they do best–serve their customers and communities.

Our decision to cancel this annual event was not taken lightly. APTA has been closely monitoring updates and recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO), as well as state and local governments. Over the last several days, we've also learned of the increasing number of travel restrictions being placed on attendees and scheduled speakers.

We are exploring options to reschedule the Legislative Conference and accompanying committee meetings. Concerning your conference registration fee, we will provide a credit for a future APTA conference, or if you prefer, a refund. Specific information will be available on our website soon.

Please remember to cancel your hotel reservation as soon as possible. You MUST contact your hotel directly.

This is a unique time for us all, but APTA members and the public transit industry have a long history of rising to meet whatever challenges come our way. Please know that APTA is here for you and we will not waver in our commitment to provide the quality resources and support that you need.

Thank you for all that you do every day.

Sincerely,
