President Message

Despite the chill in the air and the lingering snow and ice at our feet, our mighty state is getting brighter. Longer sunshine hours and an easing of the pandemic! 
For those asking, we are yet to receive formal guidance on mask mandate changes in health care settings.
Please take the time to review the APTA-RI strategic plan – an exciting year is ahead as we plan more in-person events including an important half day course on Imaging. Now that we have passed legislation to allow physical therapists to order plain films, let's make sure we are all competent and confident in this privilege.

In a joint letter to congressional leaders, APTA and 11 other groups urge adoption of legislation to address the payment cut.

Do you provide services via telehealth? Get up to speed on anticipated changes to the codes you’ll use.

CMS still isn't paying for dry needling, but it has provided some guidance on how to successfully bill a beneficiary for the service.

APTA RI is happy to host this course on April 9th. We will discuss the new legislation allowing PTs to order radiographs and learn the all the basics of determining appropriately, ordering and interpreting radiographic findings!
