ARAWC COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE UPDATE

The communications team has been very busy promoting QCARE through social media, paid media, member and prospect emails, and other outlets. The QCARE media campaign kicked off in January with the launch of an op-ed in the Texas Tribune authored by Ryan Brannan, former Commissioner of Texas Workers' Compensation, titled “ In 2020 and Beyond, Here’s How to Protect More Injured Texas Workers .” It is a great article that explains how QCARE will allow the Texas model to work even more effectively by expanding coverage to more workers and easily identifying the companies that care for their injured workers. QCARE has also been featured in the Tribune’s banner ads, email newsletters and podcasts. In total, the QCARE brand has reached over 200,000 viewers through the Tribune media campaign. Likewise, QCARE’s reach on social media and Google is growing, with combined impressions last month in excess of 100,000 viewers on Facebook + LinkedIn and close to 2 million on Google. Please take a few minutes to like, comment and share ARAWC’s recent posts on LinkedIn and Facebook . In addition, the op-ed announcing QCARE was featured on WorkersCompensation.com , the largest and most visited online resource for the workers’ compensation community. In the coming weeks, we have more articles, social media posts and other efforts planned to promote QCARE, including friendly announcements by fellow Texas trade associations. Thanks for your support as we work to spread the word about QCARE!

QCARE SIGN-UPS

As you know, this program has been in development over the past two years and was officially launched on January 21st.

This is an exciting time and the result of your steadfast support of innovation that will sustainably deliver better medical outcomes for injured workers and cost savings for Texas employers.  Programs covering over 300,000 Texas employees have received the QCARE designation! An employer or its authorized representative can submit the QCARE application.
QCARE MEDIA INQUIRIES

With the increased visibility QCARE, it is possible that ARAWC members may be contacted by the media. That’s one reason why ARAWC retains a professional public relations firm.

If a journalist contacts you regarding ARAWC or QCARE, we suggest you:

  1. Ask for the journalist's name, publication, what they want to know, deadline, and contact information.
  2. Tell them that an ARAWC representative will follow up with them ASAP. Also follow any internal protocols at your company.
  3. Reach out to Jeff Crilley, Real News PR. His cell phone number is 214-226-3327, and his email address is jeffcrilley@realnewspr.com
SERVICE PROVIDER OPPORTUNITIES

As discussed in our ARAWC Service Provider Forum on January 15, ARAWC is here to help its service provider members in any way, including your pursuit of new opportunities presented by the rollout of QCARE. For example, ARAWC can support you with:

  1. Internal staff training on, “What is QCARE?” and how you can apply for the QCARE designation on behalf of your clients as their authorized representative.
  2. Educational outreach, like supporting you on conference speaking submissions, powerpoint slides, etc.
  3. More visibility for your name and expertise through publication of an article or report, white paper, Perspectives Q&A or testimonial on the ARAWC or QCARE websites.

Let us know how we can be of service to you by contacting Brooke Weldon at bweldon@virtualinc.com .
