As our church prepares to observe the season of Lent, the time between Ash Wednesday and Easter Sunday, we would like to invite you to join us in a spiritual practice of prayer based on God’s commandment to love one another.
There are so many ways that we can answer God’s call to show care, and prayer is one simple way to do so.
You might have already noticed that there are two white trees inside of our building that have hearts hanging on them. Each heart has a name of one of the 220 children and youth that are involved in our ministries here at ARBC (preschool, afterschool, and congregational).
You can participate by taking one or more hearts and praying for that child by name each day during Lent.
It is very likely that you will not know the child that you picked, but you can certainly still pray for them by name in an impactful way. It is our hope that each child will have someone not in their family actively praying for them each day. So, grab a heart and pray for a child. Let’s see what happens as parents, grandparents, church members, and teachers alike join together to fulfill God’s call to love.
