YOU ARE ENTITLED TO A
SAFE WORKING ENVIRONMENT!
As this public health crisis ramps up once again, it is imperative that management ensure a safe working environment for all our members! That includes Safe Staffing, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and ensuring management follows all health & safety guidelines as prescribed by OSHA and the Department of Health.

JNESO is aware that management at your facility is short-staffed due to many employees being COVID positive and the residents are COVID positive as well. Testing must be done as per guidelines make sure that you are being tested and if you are feeling ill request a test immediately.  JNESO wants all members to protect each other and the patients from contracting COVID by testing when necessary and by following the State of NJ guidelines.

JNESO is aware that management recently was distributing K95 masks that they claimed may be easier for breathing. It is imperative that you make sure they fit properly and that they are NIOSH and OSHA-approved. Your Employer must have proper fit testing of masks every year and when there is a substantial change to the design of the mask, that you are properly fit-tested! If you do not believe you have been fit tested or you question that masks are properly approved, contact a Local Officer or your Labor Rep Meredith Larson.

JNESO will continue to ensure management at your facility ensures a safe work environment for our members as we enter the third year of this COVID public health crisis.

Please continue to Stay Safe, contact a Local Officer or your Labor Rep Meredith Larson (below).
