A Message from Our Acting Executive Director Jennifer Pippard

 Hello ARC Community! I wish everyone a wonderful summer. We had a fun Casino Night in May, and are excited summer has arrived. Swim club with Coach Jody is every day and will continue until October. We are growing a summer crop in the ARC Rainbow Garden, and asking for donations to harvest in October (see our flyer!). Plus, we continue to build our capacity as we prepare to apply for Dolly House to be a Memory Care Home, specializing in care designed specifically for individuals with cognitive impairments, particularly those with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia, fulfilling our founders dream for the Dolly House.

 ARC will hold a special training for ARC staff, Board members and families on August 16 and 17th on the impact of dementia on people with cognitive disabilities, at ARC. Training will be provided by Noah Homes, a leader in providing memory care homes to people with developmental disabilities. We invite family members to join us for the August trainings, please call the center and RSVP, space is limited.

Renew quickly and easily online!

  2. Visit DMV.ca.gov/dpp
  3. E-sign your renewal

Renewing is FREE, no doctor’s note required!

New Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) Requirements for non-live-in In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) Providers

Beginning July 1, 2023, IHSS providers who do not live with their recipient(s) will be required to use one of three timesheet options—the IHSS EVV Mobile App, Electronic Services Portal (ESP), or Telephone Timesheet System (TTS) to:

   1. Check-in at the beginning of each shift in real-time;

   2. Check-out at the end of each shift in real-time; and

   3. Indicate if services are being provided in the recipient(s) home or community.

There are no changes for recipients. Recipients will continue to review and approve their provider’s electronic timesheets the same as today. The EVV requirements do not change how recipient services are authorized or how recipients receive their services.
