This November 8th, the City is holding Council Member elections for Districts 2, 3 and 5. The candidates will appear on the General Election Ballot for those in a District that has an open seat.
The candidates for D2 are (in the order they will appear on the ballot):

TRACY JENSEN HAN
SHARON KWAN
The candidates for D3 are:
SHENG CHANG, MD
EILEEN WANG
Candidates for D5 are:
MICHAEL DANIELSON
MICHAEL CAO
DANIEL MALKI
JASON LEE
Michael Danielson of D5 is the only incumbent running. He was appointed unanimously by City Council on March 29, 2022 to fill the vacant seat of Council Member Roger Chandler when he passed away during his term in office.
Bob Harbicht, candidate for D2, has served on City Council from 1986-2014 (with 2 year gaps in between 2 terms pursuant to the City's Charter). He ran and lost in 2016 (to me and Peter Amundson) and 2018 (to Mayor Tom Beck).
Dr. Sheng Chang, MD, was the first Asian-American City Council Member (April 2000-April 2004) in Arcadia and its first Asian-American Mayor (2003). Dr. Chang ran again in 2004 and 2016 and lost.
JASON LEE ran in 2010 and lost.
TRACY JENSEN HAN, SHARON KWAN, EILEEN WANG, MICHAEL CAO and DANIEL MALKI have never run for Arcadia City Council before.
