Greetings!
All of us at ARI are grateful to have the opportunity to support the community we serve. With the active help of ARI's Board of Directors, Scientific Advisory Board, and volunteers, we continue to explore new and innovative ways to support researchers and clinicians as well as to provide needed information and guidance to individuals with autism and their families.
ARI's staff is quite busy working on a number of initiatives right now, including the resumption of our in-person scientific think tank in early April. At this annual event, top researchers and clinicians convene to discuss emerging findings about co-occurring conditions and autism. We are also preparing several live webinars in the next few weeks—please check the schedule at AutismWebinars.org.
Our team is working to expand its international outreach through our global support network, which now consists of 226 support groups located in 77 different countries. Several support groups are translating our most popular webinars. Network members also receive a monthly e-newsletter with links to announcements by ARI and other autism organizations and links to important new research findings. In addition, they receive ARI's quarterly science newsletter to distribute to their membership.
Nataliya, who works on our international outreach program, lives in Ukraine and was able to leave the country. She is now helping to arrange for families with children diagnosed with autism to travel together to leave the country. Our thoughts and prayers are with them.
Stephen M. Edelson, Ph.D.
