Overview
Davinci Jets, founded in 2004, is a leading Private Jet Charter and Management company operating a fleet of over 20 aircraft. With access to over 5,000 airports nationwide and countless global destinations, Davinci Jets provides safe, efficient, and personalized travel experiences. The company partners with corporate flight departments and global service providers to ensure reliability and superior service.
Challenge
Delivering a seamless and safe flight experience requires proactive risk management and coordination across multiple teams and systems. Davinci Jets needed a process that identifies potential risks early, optimizes flight planning, and ensures all stakeholders - from internal teams to international handlers - are aligned.
Solution
Davinci Jets implemented a team-based approach combining people, process, and technology:
Integrated Systems:
- FL3XX Scheduling System integrated with VOCUS FlightRisk to identify risks early and apply custom safety rules (e.g., runway closures, SMS lessons learned, airport-specific nuances).
- Collins Aerospace ARINCDirect integrated with FlightRisk for international flight planning and filing services, enabling crews to access real-time details via the ARINCDirect website and mobile app.
Davinci’s Collaborative Workflow:
- Rick Wade, Flight Operations Manager, oversees scheduling and flight planning, leveraging ARINCDirect for optimization.
- Jim Garrett, Director of Safety, leads the Safety Program and uses FlightRisk during preflight planning to catch emerging risks.
- Preflight operational meetings between the two ensure redundancy.
- Communication & Transparency: Finalized plans are packaged and shared with crews and international handlers, reinforcing that safety is a team effort extending beyond Davinci’s own internal team.
