Formula 1 Grand Prix in Las Vegas, NV

Welcome back to Jump Seat. The Formula 1 Grand Prix intends to build upon its popularity in America with another U.S.-based event this month. On November 18th and 19th the Grand Prix race circuit will stop in Nevada to race along the infamous Las Vegas Strip. Before and after the event, an increase in general aviation air traffic is expected for the area airports of Harry Reid International Airport (KLAS), Henderson Executive Airport (KHND) and North Las Vegas Airport (KVGT).

Operators must obtain a Prior Permission Required (PPR) when arriving to or departing from KLAS, KHND, and KVGT between Tuesday, November 14 (0000 local) until Tuesday, November 21 (1159 local). This includes drop-and-go operations. PPR reservations can be obtained through your FBO of choice. We encourage you to read information regarding the PPRs carefully; if you do not have a PPR, you are restricted from parking and offloading passengers.
