Izon, Your Gateway to ARINCDirect Solutions

Welcome back to Jump Seat. We’ve emailed recently about Izon™, the Collins Connected Platform, and our vision for it as the hub for our ARINCDirect offerings, legacy and new. With next-generation solutions coming soon, we think it is a good idea to review Izon basics to prepare you for upcoming releases.  

Setting up an Izon Account 

Creating an Izon account is simple, quick, and free. Any ARINCDirect customer should use their corporate email address to create their Izon account and then link their existing ARINCDirect login credentials. The entire process has been outlined in our Izon Setup Guide, but please reach out if you need help along the way. Navigate to www.collinsizon.com to get started! 

Once you have created your account, you can set up Izon to match your personal workflow. The Dashboard is fully customizable: you can toggle on and off “pinned applications,” and then reorder them with drag-and-drop. This streamlines your view and experience.   

More Izon Benefits 

We call Izon the “Connected Platform” because it connects you to the suite of ARINCDirect solutions. Instead of managing several websites with individual usernames and passwords, Izon gives you one entry point into your ARINCDirect tools.  

Earlier this year, we released Multi-Factor Authentication, or MFA, for Izon. This provides an added layer of security to protect you and your data while meeting regulatory requirements. You can read more about the benefits of MFA, the authentication methods, and how to set it up here. 

The Ascent of Izon 

We are busy building our next generation of flight planning, and it will be available only via Izon. We are also working on enhancements to Calendar Exchange, another Izon-only application that previously launched our next generation of scheduling.

• Multi-Factor Authentication is a more secure way to log in to applications, commonly considered a best practice in security circles. It’s often described as “something you know,” such as a password, and “something you have,” like an MFA app or access to your text messaging address. Izon supports several MFA apps - see the release notes linked below for more information.
