Updated Super Bowl LVI Guidance
Welcome back to Jump Seat. Last week we sent an article providing guidance about Super Bowl LVI that takes place on Sunday, February 13th, 2022 in Los Angeles, California. We've recently received updated information from the FAA that we wish to share with you.
Reservations

Based on the latest FAA briefing for the Super Bowl LVI fly-in event, LAS, VGT, HND, PSP, and SAN have been removed from the Ramp Reservation Program while SMO has been added. This leaves the following participants:
  • Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)
  • Van Nuys Airport (VNY)
  • Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR)
  • Long Beach Airport (LGB)
  • John Wayne Airport (SNA)
  • Jack Northrup Field / Hawthorne Municipal Airport (HHR)
  • Ontario International Airport (ONT)
  • San Bernardino International Airport (SBD)
  • Santa Monica Municipal Airport (SMO)
Route Structure

Departure route guidance has not been provided by the FAA, but operators should expect departure procedure amendments and FAA initiatives associated with heavy outbound volume after the game as Los Angeles Center (ZLA) manages the airspace constraints.

ARINCDirect has the latest Super Bowl information available via links on top of the CreateFPL page of the website. This also includes details on the TFR expected for the event.
