Message from Executive Director

Welcome to the last issue of ARNOVANews for 2018. This issue contains a letter from our new ARNOVA President, Angela Eikenberry; reflections and remarks from Evelyn Brody, recipient of this year's Distinguished Achievement Award; a recap of this year's conference; and more.

As the staff prepares for 2019, we invite you to reflect back on this year with us. At this year's conference, the ARNOVA community supported 35 graduate diversity scholars, 21 undergraduate diversity scholars, 9 emerging scholars, 29 doctoral fellows, 30 conference scholarships, and over 50 volunteers who were able to attend the ARNOVA Conference and contribute to and learn from the vibrant experience. We hope you will consider continuing your support into the new year as we continue to expand the field with diverse minds and emerging scholars.

Have a happy new year!

Shariq
Executive Director, ARNOVA

Letter from the President

"It was wonderful to see many of you at our conference in Austin! We very much welcome your feedback on the conference and ways we can continue to improve. Please be sure to take the  conference evaluation survey  if you haven’t already. Please also..."
Remarks from Evelyn Brody
Recipient of Distinguished Achievement Award
" As I contemplated the out-of-body experience I’m having here, it came home to me the truth of the sentiment that no accomplish is singular – that we collectively inform and inspire each other’s work. I simply cannot imagine my professional career without my membership in ARNOVA. Because I literally 'could not have done it without you,' I gratefully accept this award from ARNOVA as a tribute to ARNOVA."
