Teaching Section News
Conference Updates & More
Request for Proposals
In accordance with that mission, the Executive Board of the Teaching Section is issuing a request for proposals for the creation of Teaching Guides in the following two areas of specialization:
- Using cases to teach nonprofit management and philanthropy study, including but not limited to a) where to find cases, b) how to use cases, and c) how to develop your own cases.
- Experiential learning, such as how to develop, manage, and evaluate experiential learning in teaching nonprofit and philanthropy courses.
We expect to award research grants to two researchers to design and prepare teaching guides in the above-stated areas. Each grant will include a $750 stipend (payable in two payments of $375) to assist in the completion of the work. All Teaching Guides are expected to be completed by October 31, 2019. They will be made available in electronic format on the ARNOVA website. Individuals who are selected for grants may also be asked to give a presentation at the ARNOVA conference or through a webinar.
