Subject: Arrest Update - Mason Goins
Location: Covington, Kentucky
COVINGTON, KY- Earlier today, Covington Police Detectives from the Domestic Assault Response Team sought and received an arrest warrant for Mason Goins, 24, of Cincinnati. Goins was located in Cincinnati, Ohio, and was arrested by Cincinnati Police.
Earlier this week, police received a call from school staff reporting inappropriate communications between a teacher and a student at Holmes High School. Detectives Nikki Brown and Austin Ross began an investigation, which eventually led to the discovery of evidence supporting the allegations against Goins.
Goins has been charged with Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Minor Under 18, Prohibited Use of an Electronic Device to Procure a Minor in a Sex Offense, Sodomy 3rd Degree, Attempted Sodomy 3rd Degree, Attempted Sexual Abuse 1st Degree, Possession of Matter Portraying a Sexual Performance by a Minor Under 18.
We would like to thank Det. Brown and Det. Ross for their efforts in this investigation and our partners at Cincinnati Police who prioritized finding and arresting Goins so quickly.
