I was lucky enough to receive an ARS scholarship during my university studies. The scholarship received from ARS supported my educational endeavours, leading me to where I am today. I am constantly reminded of what an amazing organization ARS is, as I see the work it does both in Canada and back home. Therefore, I believe it is important to pay it forward as a past scholarship recipient. Supporting education is key to the success of our people and our nation, so thank you, ARS Canada for all that you do.

“In 2005, ARS Canada awarded me with a scholarship. At the time, I was a Research Fellow at the Division of Plastic Surgery, the Hospital for Sick Children, and a Master’s student at the Institute of Medical Science / School of Graduate Studies at the University of Toronto. Those funds were of immense help at the time. Since then, I’ve finished both the fellowship and the Master’s degree, enrolled into residency training in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Toronto, and then did a fellowship in Advanced Rhinology and Skull Base Surgery in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. As of 2013, I became a staff surgeon at Lakeridge Health in Oshawa, ON, where I am currently the Head of the Division of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. I am now married and have two children, who attend ARS’ Armenian Private School in Toronto. I have also founded the Armenian Professional Society of Canada, with the goal of helping Armenians achieve heights of professional development. Thank you ARS Canada for the investment you made in me 15 years ago.”

Every donation you make to ARS Canada’s Scholarship and Education Program, which replaced the calendar program, provides students, such as Alik, Shoghig, Nyrie and Artur with an opportunity to pursue their academic and professional goals. Thanks to your continued support, for over 25 years, ARS Canada has been providing financial assistance to university and college students from across the country – students who have gone on to make a positive impact in their community, and work in fields such as Medicine, Education and Finance. We hope that you will help us keep this momentum going, and support our efforts once again, if you have not already done so.
 
This year, we will be awarding $1,000 scholarships to 17 Armenian-Canadian university and college students. Furthermore, 10% of all proceeds raised will support ARS' Sponsor a Student Fund, which assists orphaned students residing in Armenia and Artsakh. The remaining proceeds will support Armenian schools across Canada.

Հայ Օգնութեան Միութիւնը կը շարունակէ իր աջակցութիւնը ցուցաբերել Լիբանանահայ գաղութի զաւակներուն, որոնք օր ըստ օրէ կը մխրճուին տնտեսական, ընկերային եւ ապրուստի ահաւոր պայմաններու մէջ։ Լիբանանեան թղթոսկիի արժեզրկումը, երկրի մէջ տիրող սղաճը, դեղորայքի եւ ապրուստի հիմնական պէտքերու չգոյութիւնը անելի մատնած են Լիբանանցի քաղաքացին։
Ի տես երկրի անկայուն իրավիճակին, ՀՕՄ-ը կրկին անգամ կոչ կ՛ուղղէ համայն հայութեան, որպէսզի իր աջակցութեամբ տէր կանգնի Լիբանանի հայահոծ գաղութի զաւակներուն, որոնք հետզհետէ վատթարացող երկրի ճգնաժամին հետեւանքով, կորսնցուցած են իրենց օրապահիկը։

ՀՕՄ-ի Կեդրոնական Վարչութիւնը, 2019-ի երկրին մէջ սկիզբ առած ճգնաժամէն ի վեր ճիգ չէ խնայած հոգալու Լիբանանահայ գաղութին անմիջական պէտքերը՝ անոնց շաբաթական դրութեամբ տաք ճաշ, բժշկական անվճար ծառայութիւններ, ուտեստեղէն, կենցաղային հիմնական իրեր եւ տնային անհրաժեշտ պիտոյքներ տրամադրելով։ Շնորհիւ ՀՕՄ-ի համակիրներու առատաձեռն նուիրատուութ-իւններուն, ցարդ ընդհանուր $600,400 ամերիկեան տոլար հանգանկուած գումարը ամբողջապէս կը յատկացուի Լիբանանահայութեան անմիջական օժանդակութեան ծրագիրներուն գործադրման։ 
ՀՕՄ-ի Գանատայի շրջանը $94,500 տոլարով մասնակցեցաւ այս հանգանակութեան։

Ահաւասիկ տարի մը անցած է Օգոստոս 2020ի ահաւոր պայթումէն, սակայն Լիբանանա-հայութիւնը այսօր, աւելի քան երբեք մեր նիւթական աջակցութեան կարիքը ունի։ Հետեւա-բար, առաջին հանգրուանով, ՀՕՄ-ը կը նախաձեռնէ $100 ամերիկեան (130 գանատական) տոլար յատկացնել ահաւոր պայմաններու մէջ ապրող մեր հայրենակիցներուն։ Առ այդ, կը դիմենք ՀՕՄ-ի մեր անդամներուն, բարերարներուն եւ համակիրներուն, որպէսզի մասնակից դառնան այս նախաձեռնութեանը։ Լիբանանի Կողքին դրամահաւաքին ձեր ներդրումը բերելով կրնաք ընտանիքի մը անմիջական ապրուստը ապահովել։

The ARS Orphan's Sponsorship program was established in 1992 for children who had lost parents during the earthquake in Armenia (1988) and for children of soldiers who were killed during the war in Artsakh.

For over 20 years, the ARS program has sponsored more than 7,400 orphans through the generous donations of over 4,900 sponsors.

The Program was renamed in 2021 in light of the 2nd Artsakh War as Children of Fallen Heroes sponsorship program. $330 USD yearly will help transform the lives of those children whose fathers gave their lives protecting our borders.

To date, the total allocated funds to orphans has surpassed $5,300,000 USD.

ՀՕՄ-ի Գանատայի Շրջանային Վարչութիւնը կ՝աջակցի Երեւանի «Հաշմանդամ եւ վիրաւոր զինուորներու Հերացի վերականգնողական կեդրոն»ին
ARS Canada allocated $36,000 USD ($48,000 CND) to the Homeland Defenders Rehabilitation Centre.

This support to the "Heratsi Military Disability Rehabilitation Centre" hospital in Yerevan will help with the purchase of an Anesthesia machine with vaporizer. Securing this specialized equipment will provide professional treatments to the wounded soldiers.

Thanks to the financial support of our donors, the ARS will continue to support all our charitable projects.

Արցախի շտապ օժանդակութեան աշխատանքներու ծիրէն ներս, անցնող շաբաթներուն Շրջանային Վարչութիւնը որոշեց $36,000 USD ($48,000 CND) արժողութեամբ բժշկական սարքաւորում նուիրել հաշմանդամ եւ վիրաւոր զինուորներու Հերացի հիւանդանոցին, որ մասնագիտական բուժում պիտի տրամադրէ վիրաւոր եւ հաշմանդամ զինուորներուն։

Շնորհիւ մեր նուիրատուներու նիւթական օժանդակութեան, ՀՕՄ-ը իր շարունակական աջակցութիւնը պիտ բերէ բոլոր բարենպատակ ծրագիրներուն։

ARS Meghri Chapter members were pleased to meet in person at the Armenian Community Centre on July 30, 2021 after having to do virtual meetings online during the lock-downs. Members enjoyed some delicious food and desserts. Pins of recognition were presented to Ung. Salpi Jaberian for her 35 years of membership, and to Ung. Tamar Tchaparian for her 15 years. Two other members (Ung. Marie Titizian - 50 years; Ung. Seta Panossian - 35 years) were absent so will be presented with their recognition pins at a future convenient time. Congratulations to all!

ՀՕՄ-ի Լաւալի «Շուշի» Մասնաճիւղի վարչութիւնը Շաբաթ 28 Օգոստոս, 2021-ին առաւօտեան նախաճաշի հրաւիրած էր մասնաճիւղի անդամները. ներկայ եղան աւելի քան 40 ընկերուհիներ, որոնք ուրախութեամբ զիրար դիմաւորեցին երկար բացակայութենէ ետք։
 
Նախաճաշի ընթացքին եղան զուարճախօսութիւններ և որոշ ընկերուհիներ արտայայտուեցան թագաժահրի 
պատճառով ստեղծուած արքելափակումներն ու տեղի ունեցած լուրերը հոգեկան ի՞նչ ազդեցութիւն ձգեցին
