LEADERSHIP PROFILE: LAURA SAXE,
ALASKA CAMPGROUND OWNERS ASSOCIATION

Laura Saxe and her husband, Jeff, built ARVC member-park Eagle’s Rest RV Park & Cabins in Valdez, Alaska in 1991 and almost instantly became active members of the Alaska Campground Owners Association (ACOA). She has now risen to the role of Chairman of the Board for the ACOA and is leading a very diverse membership that faces the unique challenges and opportunities provided by owning parks in the Last Frontier.

IMHA-RVIC INSTRUMENTAL IN PASSAGE OF
INDIANA "CAMPGROUNDS MATTER" BILL
|
|
The Indiana Manufactured Housing Association-Recreation Vehicle Indiana Council (IMHA-RVIC) played a crucial role in the the passage of an IN S 17, also known as the Campground Matters bill. The bill specifically defines Campground, Campground Owner and Guest, defines specific circumstances when a campground owner may ask that an individual leave a campground and specifies that an individual who does not leave or returns is guilty of criminal trespass.

U.S. ACCESS BOARD WEBINAR: PLAY AREAS |

The next webinar in the U.S. Access Board's free monthly series will take place May 6 from 2:30-4 ET and will review requirements for play areas in the ADA and ABA Accessibility Standards, which apply to all newly designed or constructed play areas for children ages 2 and older. In addition to an overview of the play area provisions, the presenters will address frequently asked questions and common sources of confusion with accessible play surfaces. DHS TO MAKE ADDITIONAL 22,000 TEMPORARY,
NON-AGRICULTURAL VISAS AVAILABLE
|

There have been many reports in our industry of the difficulties of finding workers. As the nation’s economy continues to reopen safely, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is taking action to ensure that American businesses are equipped with the resources needed to recover successfully and contribute to the economic health of local communities. In light of increased labor demands, DHS is announcing a supplemental increase of 22,000 visas for the H-2B Temporary Non-Agricultural Worker program.
