US CENSUS: HOW ARE PEOPLE COUNTED AT RV PARKS, CAMPGROUNDS?
The U.S. Census Bureau has begun a phase of work called "Enumeration of Temporary Locations". Campgrounds may be contacted as the Census Bureau counts people who live a majority of the year in areas usually thought of as temporary locations. Census workers visiting your park should readily accept your response that no one lives in the campground the majority of the year without talking to everyone at individual campground sites. According to the Census Bureau’s website..."Anyone who reports a usual home elsewhere should be counted at that home." Learn more about the process, protocols and what information and access you must share with census workers.
